ZAC (22-male), an American bass guitarist. He has followed his passions his whole life. Women have not been one of them. He is living on his own, and making his own decisions. He an optimist searching for a deeper meaning in life.

SCOTT (29-male), an animated, world weary American. He makes his decisions by following his gut. He has frequently annoyed people because of his quick decisions and unfiltered words. Other peoples opinions of him do not affect him. He is moving  through life at his own pace and people should keep up.

LEONA (22-female), a content Czech girl happily living in Prague. Her conservative small town family doesn’t understand or support her strong independent mindset. She has made spontaneous decisions for reasons unknown. For example: after every serious breakup she has packed up and moved across continents. She speaks good english and knows about the world.

Nancy Bishop, CSA Casting Director and author, of Secrets from the Casting Couch, offers special Master Classes in her home city of Prague, 18-20, November 2011.

Summary: This three day intensive series of Master Classes is designed for actors who wish to brush up on their professional on screen audition skills as well as to make connections in the international acting community. Each actor will get professional feedback and a copy of their scene work.

In this seminar, actors will learn how to present themselves for international work; how to crack into the US and European markets. Marketing skills covered will include how to develop an effective C.V, chose a key photo for headshots, and create a show reel and website. Casting videos from successful actors will be screened.
13:00                         Lunch
14:30-17:00    Archetype Workshop. Actors should bring their photos and C.V.s for discussion. The class will view and critique one another’s headshots, helping to pinpoint a key archetypal image for each actor.

About Nancy: Emmy-award nominated, American Casting Director, Nancy Bishop, has cast over sixty American and British films, from her base in Prague. She has cast for major feature films including and Mission Impossible IV, Roman Polanski’s Oliver Twist, Prince Caspian, Bourne Identity, and she is currently casting a new ABC TV series, Missing. Day 1: MARKETING FOR INTERNATIONAL WORK. In this seminar, actors will learn how to present themselves for international work, highlighting how to crack into the US and UK markets. Marketing skills covered will include how to create an effective, eye-catching C.V, chose a key photo, and create a show reel and website. Actors should bring their photos and C.V.s for discussion.

DAY2:  SCREEN ACTING TECHNIQUE CLASS: Actors participate in a series of practical exercises that develop effective methods for screen acting. Material covered will include learning how to calibrate a performance for close-up vs. wide shot, playing an inner monologue, playing reaction shots and playing in the eyes. All participants will receive a free copy of “Secrets from the Casting Couch.”

Day 3: AUDITON STRATEGY: This class will target specific strategies for casting, including cold reading skills, and audition technique. Actors will also do a casting session on camera with coaching from Nancy. All participants will get a free copy of “Secrets from the Casting Couch.”
